All tint makes windows darker. Not all tint makes your car cooler. The difference comes down to what the film is made of, and that is the gap between standard film and ceramic.
Standard film
Standard film is a dyed or similar non ceramic film. It reduces glare, adds privacy and blocks UV, at the lowest price.
Best for: appearance and privacy on a budget.
XR ceramic
Ceramic films use non metallic ceramic particles that block a large share of infrared heat, the part of sunlight you feel on your skin. That means a noticeably cooler cabin without needing to go darker, and no interference with phone, GPS or radio signals.
Best for: most daily drivers in Georgia.
XR Plus
XR Plus is the top tier ceramic, with the strongest heat rejection. It is the choice when comfort matters most, and it is also available for windshields and moonroofs.
Best for: maximum heat rejection, dark interiors and long commutes.

Does darker mean cooler?
Not necessarily. A light ceramic film can reject more heat than a dark standard film. That matters in Georgia, where side windows must stay at 32 percent VLT or lighter. Read the Georgia tint law guide.
Tint protects your interior too
UV and heat fade and dry out upholstery. If you have invested in a custom interior, ceramic tint is the best protection you can add.
